Mechanical Operator – Night Shift

Our Mech-Ops work as line operators and also assist mechanics with setups, changeovers and preventative maintenance as assigned. Our ideal candidate is either a mechanic who is willing to work on the lines or a line operator who has strong mechanical inclination.  Must be able to perform exacting tasks by hand; lift 40-50 lb loads; stand and walk for 12 hrs/day; work around hot pour perfumes and fragrances daily, and have average reading and math skills.

Manufacturing Plant Engineer

Our new full-time Manufacturing Plant Engineer is a highly qualified position to plan, design, arrange, optimize, and supervise a manufacturing process.  This position will be responsible for all maintenance functions for our company.  Manufacturing engineers are creative and analytical thinkers as well as designers.  The main responsibility of the manufacturing engineer is to create, develop, and implement procedures required to assemble, test, process and manufacture products for our company.  This position will also be responsible for supervision of individuals in the department.  Supervision includes hiring, training and development of staff.

The pace at Autumn Harp is FAST due to the nature of “turn-key” custom manufacturing.  Therefore, our new Engineer must be able to appreciate our quick turn-around times on samples and prototypes.  We believe that someone who is smart, introspective and imaginative will do well on this team.  He/she should have a strong intuitive sense, coupled with proven technical skills.  Good communication skills and outstanding customer service skills are a must.  A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is required along with a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience; ability to travel occasionally; a proven track record with outstanding leadership, vision, and professionalism; thrive while working in a cross functional team based environment; and a personal commitment to succeed.

Human Resources Safety and Training Manager 

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources to plan, direct and implement our safety and training programs and ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free workplace.  The position will also serve as a facilitator for our Ideas Program for production, compounding and quality departments.  Safety duties include investigating incidents, administering workers’ comp programs, and maintaining safety records in compliance with local, state and federal programs.  For training, duties include designing, organizing and/or delivering training sessions on a variety of topics; and will be the lead coordinator for our newly implemented production training program.  The Safety and Training Manager will also be fully trained in all HR functions, and will be integral to communicate HR benefit basics, policies and procedures and serve as a HR representative for general functions.  The position will also oversee the employee transportation/ commuting program and will oversee the maintenance of company vehicles provided for commuting.  College degree and at least five years of manufacturing and training experience required.  The candidate must be familiar with manufacturing operations and OSHA Regulations; have proficient computer skills including Power Point; and have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; is attentive to details; and able to work confidentially. 

Research and Development Formulations Chemist

The Position: Autumn Harp seeks a talented professional who will report to the Formulations Manager as the Research and Development Formulations Chemist

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop personal care and cosmetic products
  • Interface regularly with the customer, as well as internal departments
  • Manage multiple projects
  • Work with anhydrous formulations, but also specializing in emulsions

 The successful candidate will have a unique blend of skills and is someone who:

  • consistently meets customer deadlines and expectations

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience with formulating emulsions, natural and suncare products.

R&D Business Development & Innovations Manager

The Position: Autumn Harp seeks a talented professional who will report to the Vice President of Research and Development as the Business Development & Innovations Manager. 

  • The position will strengthen Autumn Harp’s new product development team & process to meet short-term and long-term innovation needs.
  • Will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the key business teams to service major accounts with innovative products.
  • Will develop strong concepts and excellent service; create formulation in line with the strategic direction of the business
  • Will manage package sourcing for business development & Innovation
  • Will be accountable for the company’s product durability testing team, including OTC’s. 

Key Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will be:

  • Someone who enjoys working independently, enjoys being a partner in business development activities with customers, can manage multiple products and consistently meets customer deadlines and expectations.
  • A hands on formulator and product developer but also manage a small team of people also responsible for driving the innovation process along for the business.
  • A stand out communicator both at the project and team level but also of knowledge and guidance to the business.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with formulating emulsions, natural and suncare products in the cosmetics or like industry.
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • A proven track record with outstanding leadership, vision, customer service, communication and professionalism
