Compounding Mechanical Technician

Reporting to the Process Equipment Manager, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Compounding Mechanical Technician to support our Compounding Department by ensuring all equipment operates at peak efficiency. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards of safety and performance. The ideal candidate will lead by example, demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, and collaborate effectively across teams to manage preventive and scheduled maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize the maintenance request list in coordination with the Process Equipment Manager, Compounding Manager and Maintenance team.
  • Participate in our Daily Team Maintenance (DTM) Compounding Pillar and collaborate with the PM Pillar Team to implement and improve preventive maintenance programs.
  • Diagnose technical problems with and without schematics/drawings
  • Partner with Continuous Skills Development (CSD) to develop and refine work instructions.
  • Establish a system for Sanitation Officers to identify and report failed or unsafe equipment.Advise on training needs to build a multifunctional compounding team and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Promote and enforce a safe and clean working environment by upholding procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Immediately address unsafe conditions and ensure adherence to company and VOSHA safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong reading, math, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet quality standards and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Organizational and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing manufacturing demands.
  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs. routinely and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Pay range: $25 - $30/hour

Maintenance Technician

Night Shift - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6:45PM to 7:00PM

Autumn Harp, a private label custom contract manufacture of cosmetic and personal care products has an opening for a skilled maintenance technician on our Maintenance and Engineering team.  

Maintenance Technicians work to ensure that all equipment is performing optimally.  Assists with setup and changeover of manufacturing lines.  Performs major and minor repairs as necessary to all manufacturing equipment.  Works as assigned on continuous improvement projects and to ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are met.  Works with computerized maintenance software to ensure equipment logs are maintains to satisfy Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical support service to operational changes resulting from setting up and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic equipment.
  • Observes operation of equipment, troubleshoots abnormalities, locating sources of problems, repairing defective parts, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, controlling downtime, and fabricating repair parts.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment, parts, and supply inventories.
  • Works safely and supports safety across the organization.
  • Trains operators to recognize problems and issues with equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years mechanical or machining experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems for automated production machinery and support equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical prints.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads up to 50 pounds.

Pay range - $26.00 - $31.00/hour
