Junior Buyer/Planner

We are seeking a Junior Buyer / Planner, an entry level position, to support various supply chain management processes and procedures. In this role, the position will learn how to manage information within an ERP system, concerning activity related to production schedules and material sourcing activity. The role will be to support the planning and coordination of production schedules, under the guidance of the Master Planner. Under the guidance of the Senior Buyer, the position will have responsibility for learning to source and place purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage information within the ERP system concerning supply of material, production schedule, and customer open orders.
  • Proactively communicate with team members, as it pertains to open orders and customer demand fulfillment, coordinating various responsible parties throughout the order fulfillment cycle for alignment in support of execution.   
  • Maintain effective communication with all levels of the organization to assist with the flow of materials and update production status. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, QA, Finance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to ensure corporate goals and strategies are met.
  • Actively participates in meetings to discuss open issues, commitment dates, and production status which may impact on time delivery.
  • Support inventory management process, working to minimize scrap, slow moving, and excess inventory.
  • Strives to eliminate inefficiencies and improve workflows to meet customer fulfillment targets.

Planner Responsibilities:

  • Creates and issues work order packets to the production floor.
  • Execute planning parameters for lead-times and provide order confirmation for new customer order demand.
  • Analyzes and reacts to MRP demand signals, adjusting production timing and volume appropriately.
  • Arrange a pre-organization of production materials before the commencement of production. Coordinating schedule changes and workflow, as required, to ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with new product introduction teams to verify schedule information and provide support in managing the schedule and support coordination of pre-production open activities. Facilitate periodic scheduled meetings as required with stakeholders. 
  • Manage, analyze, and execute new demand forecasts and update based on actual sales, usage, trends, new product launch projections, and revised sales plans, in order to support demand planning and forecasting systems, tools and reports used in developing operational forecast and demand plans for use in Sales and Operational Planning.

Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for expediting open purchase orders, managing information related to open orders, as well as, problem solving, managing returns, invoice management, purchasing goods within their assigned vendors, and deliver best in class customer service.
  • Accomplish two-way communications with suppliers to include monitoring and follow up on outstanding actions and tracking of documentation to ensure timely award of procurements.
  • Collaborates with Suppliers and/or internal customers to negotiate and resolve delivery requirements, material shortages, inventory levels or quality issues. Takes action to expedite backordered, past due, and/or out of stock materials as necessary.
  • Assist where needed to generate purchase orders based on ERP demand.

Experience and Skills required:

  • Ability to communicate well -- both externally and internally.
  • Detail oriented and ability to work independently.
  • Must be self-directed and motivated, with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Prior experience in distribution or production environment preferred. Understanding supply chain concepts, is a plus.

Customer Service Representative

This full time position within our Customer Experience team provides order-related support to a specific group of customers as assigned.  The role entails collaboration within a wide internal cross-functional team to ensure orders are entered and shipped timely, with oversight to testing criteria and shipment timelines to the customers based on confirmed dates, as well as respond to follow up requests related to the order or shipment.  Oversees successful OSCOT (Orders shipped and Complete On Time) metric are met.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Timely customer order entry and verification within ERP including working with the Supply Chain, Production, QA and Warehouse teams
  • Ensures orders are accurate including pricing, items, timing, confirmations, and special instructions
  • Provides customer interface and support; including maintaining and monitoring specific customer portals
  • Works independently or with the team on special projects; may include gathering information, preparing materials, scheduling meetings, disseminating information
  • Follows up on critical dates for programs related to customer initiatives (product delivery dates, stocking agreements, testing, and lead-time analysis
  • Handles confidential customer information
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments
  • Prepares a variety of reports for review as well as other KPI’s for sales and project related items as assigned on a daily/weekly basis
  • Participate in weekly scheduling, order, shipping meetings as needed
  • Host/Participate in weekly, bi-weekly customer calls as needed
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly sales targets and progress
  • Manages customer scorecard process to ensure Metrics are met

Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will report to the Process Engineering Manager as part of the Research & Development team and is responsible for Process Design, Scale Up, Compounding Equipment knowledge, FMI creation and maintenance, and OTC Validation training required for product development.  They will act as a liaison within the scrum team environment and be responsible for product development and scale-up from the lab bench to steady-state production. The Process Engineer must be both knowledgeable and willing to learn OTC and cosmetic validation procedures under the guidance of the Process Engineering Manager to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.  The Process Engineer is also responsible for the investigation of out of specification batches working collaboratively with cross function teams to ensuring that all designed processes adhere to the quality, safety, and cleanliness standards of Autumn Harp, as well as supporting the needs of the greater R&D lab team when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating member of a Scrum team for new product development
  • Technical expert on all compounding kettles and equipment, with a focus on ownership of the rapid prototyping pilot vessel; including kettle logistics & physical batching/cleaning: scheduling, cleaning, maintenance, and training. 
  • Manages the process design and implementation needed for blue sky and market-trend development batches.
  • Responsible for maintaining the health of FMI documents and batching processes in a timely manner through the PCR process.  As well as authoring FMI documents for new experiments, pilots and/or productions when needed.
  • Provides technical support and scheduling advice to the compounding department, assisting and providing guidance to Team Leads and Batchers.
  • Develop & write technical OTC batching validation protocols that meet FDA guidelines. 
  • Work in partnership with R&D, Regulatory and Quality to complete PCRs (process change requests) for production.
  • Completes investigations in collaboration with the Quality team on out of specification product.
  • Plays a key role working with customers who are on site to make new products, ensuring customer satisfaction.\
  • Cross train to fully support the entire pilot team process for R&D, Batching and Filling
    Special projects as assigned for process improvements and R&D lab support (lab batches, stability, product safety, etc.)

Experience and Skills required:

  • 5+ years of related process engineering experience
  • BS in engineering, chemical engineering preferred
  • Direct experience working in a GMP environment
  • Experience working with manufacturing processing equipment
  • Ability to connect with external and internal customers

Quality Assurance Coordinator I

The Quality Assurance Coordinator I works closely within the Quality team to help to ensure the Autumn Harp Quality Compliance programs are up-to-date, accurate, and appropriately documented.  This includes data entry, tracking and assisting with calibrations, pest control, and water sampling, and ensuring quality critical documentation is properly completed, stored, and tracked.  The QA Coordinator I helps to represents the Quality Department in the manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enters data, including for pest control, water sampling, customer complaints, and quality system elements such as deviations, investigations, and CAPAs.  Tracks requirements, progress, and closures
  • Responds to routine customer complaints; gathers and trends data and tracks closures
  • Administers calibration database and tracks calibration due dates.  With support, conducts some internal instrument calibrations and works with external calibration vendors to ensure calibrations are conducted in a timely manner and all required paperwork is completed accurately and on-file
  • Supports internal pest control program and works with external vendor(s) to ensure program is maintained, documented as required, and updated as necessary
  • Ensures documentation is current, controlled and filed in accordance with the document control procedure
  • Maintains the Quality Systems Tracker database, tracks due dates, and works with relevant stakeholders to ensure there is follow-up and extensions requested as needed
  • Supports the Holds and Rejections Processes.  Works with others in the department to ensure proper tracking, tagging, and follow-up
  • Supports the temperature and humidity monitoring programs, tracks logged data
  • Maintains accurate files and records, in compliance with customer, GMP and FDA regulations applicable to operations.  Files all reports as necessary in a timely manner to remain in compliance
  • Helps to create an atmosphere that supports respect, honesty and open communication among all employees; encourages employees to celebrate accomplishments and have fun

Maintenance Technician

Day Shift - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:45am to 7am, alternating Thursdays 6:45am to 3:00pm

Autumn Harp, a private label custom contract manufacture of cosmetic and personal care products has an opening for a skilled maintenance technician on our Maintenance and Engineering team.  

Maintenance Technicians work to ensure that all equipment is performing optimally.  Assists with setup and changeover of manufacturing lines.  Performs major and minor repairs as necessary to all manufacturing equipment.  Works as assigned on continuous improvement projects and to ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are met.  Works with computerized maintenance software to ensure equipment logs are maintains to satisfy Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical support service to operational changes resulting from setting up and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic equipment.
  • Observes operation of equipment, troubleshoots abnormalities, locating sources of problems, repairing defective parts, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, controlling downtime, and fabricating repair parts.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment, parts, and supply inventories.
  • Works safely and supports safety across the organization.
  • Trains operators to recognize problems and issues with equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years mechanical or machining experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems for automated production machinery and support equipment.

Autumn Harp is looking to add quality-minded operators to each of our four production shifts.  We are a premier contract manufacturer in the beauty and personal care industry.  New team members can expect to be challenged within our fast paced, FDA regulated, 24/6 manufacturing environment. Our Production Operators run state-of-the-art machinery, follow detailed specifications to produce our finished products, as well as complete required documentation.  Operators tend equipment that perform packaging functions, such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, packing and wrapping components.  Flexibility is needed to work at various stations while following product specification sheets.  Safety is our number one focus and each team member is expected to follow all safety guidelines and report any safety issues.

Product Stability Testing Technician

The Testing Technician is part of the Product Safety team. The Technician is responsible for conducting stability testing on all products including those from lab, pilot, and production.  Testing and evaluating products includes comparing flavor, color, odor and texture and also taking appropriate measurements.  The Technician is also responsible for coordinating outside testing and documenting results.  This position requires effective communication skills, both internally and externally, assertiveness and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect samples per the standard testing schedule
  • Maintain lab formulas, finished product and accurate stability record keeping
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience in testing of products using viscometers, pH meters, Density Meters, color computer, as well as basic office equipment.
  • Can manage multiple projects and consistently meets deadlines and expectations
  • Team player, must be comfortable working with members of R&D team as well as QA team.
  • Proven Microsoft Office program skills
  • Reviewing and writing customer specific stability protocols as well as ensuring the testing templates match the protocols.

Warehouse Associate

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for making sure orders get picked correctly and deliveries get out on time.   The right candidate will have the ability to communicate well – both externally and internally; be a team player with a strong work ethic; ability to work productively and independently is essential.  Must be detailed-oriented, highly organized and have previous experience in all warehouse activities including inventory control, shipping systems data entry, forklift operation, and general warehouse reporting functions. 

 Requirements:

  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Ability to be forklift certified
  • Utilize inventory control equipment; scanning and bar-coding equipment
  • Experience in lean methodologies and international shipping guidelines, a plus. 
Compounding/Mixing Technician

E2 Shift - Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7:00AM - 7:00PM

Our compounding team is responsible for product flow to manufacturing – providing high quality product that meets standards for flavor, color, viscosity and visual appearance.
